What do I need to know about moving to Australia?

Australia is much different than the US. I've only been there once and I stayed for a few days. I was in Sydney, which is a beautiful city, and I went to the outback for a few days. I've heard the west coast of Australia is the more trendy area, around Perth, where there are lots of sidewalk cafes and the like.
