How can I cancel the read only setting on my computer for my camera?

I have a Olympus FE-370 and when I want to take a picture it says ," WRITE PROTECT" So I check the manual and it tells me to cancel the read only settings on my computer but how do I do that? (and the type of SD card I got has no lock or unlock slides.)
