Travelling to Egypt, which camera is more suitable for crisp and colourful images (see below)?

I get the impression you either collect cameras or you buy cameras to fix a lack of skills on your part. I'd gladly take the D200 or trade the lot in and get a d7000 with one or two good lenses.
