How safe is it to get birth control pills from Planned Parenthood?

I am 18 and thinking of getting birth control pills from Planned Parenthood. I know they ask for your doctor records so they can see your health history, but I'm worried if that's enough. Will Planned Parenthood give me birth control pills only if they find it to be reasonably safe? I'm afraid they give them out to mostly anyone, and I'm afraid of getting pills from them in a flippant fashion without really knowing if it's safe for me.
