Do the effects of "serious spiritism" ever go away? (the house swept clean thing)?

Not sure by what you mean by serious spirit ism but I'm assuming you mean the house swept clean of spirits maybe by burning sage. Have you seen spirits or ghosts in your home? I've heard of people who say they have strange occurrences that they've experienced in their homes and say that they are not bothered by them but that they occur on a regular basis and have been happening ever since they lived where they live.
