Apparently we are experiencing hotter temperatures than Australia or South Africa according to the Telegraph?

It looks like geography is not a strong point with the Telegraph, the Northern Hemisphere is just moving into summer whilst the Southern Hemisphere is moving into winter, at the moment these places are at the equivalent of our October and cooling down quite dramatically, as far as London is concerned that place is built of concrete and asphalt ... ergo it is bound to absorb and retain heat more readily than the countryside.
